The disappearance of the honey bee

Colony collapse disorder is a phenomenon in which worker Bees from a Honey Bee colony suddenly disappear. The syndrome was named Colony Collapse Disorder in late 2006, from that time on Bee-keepers from all over the worlds experienced the same ‘disappearing’ behaviour. Without a trace, millions of bees vanished from their hives. The honey bees are important pollinators of fruits and vegetables, the disappearing bees left billions of dollars of crops at risk and threatened our world wide food supply.
